Frequently Asked Questions

WorkshopJax is a workshop designed to help individuals learn new skills in a hands-on environment.

We have workstations for tools to learn from or rent time on. We have classroom training and classroom rental.  We have peaceful co-working with free internet.

The environment is not child or pet safe. 

The space tries to be accessible..

All the work is done by the founder and a wonderful volunteer.  

We can't be here all the time in case someone comes by.  

We mostly can be here if you make an appointment even if it isn't our regular hours.

Our workshop offers a variety of skills, including laser engraving, screen printing, and tie-dye. We have an electronics workstation and an area for castings with silicon and resins and concrete.

No (mineral) clay - there are local businesses offering clay classes for build and turntable techniques. WorkshopJAX does not want to interfere in people trying to make their living with  crafting. 

We will arrange classes. Suggest classes and when we have enough people we will hold the class.

Our space is pretty full now.  We can offer lots of classes if you just ask, but we can't fit in more crafting stations.

No woodworking - there is a big makerspace with big equipment and big air handling in Jacksonville. Try asking at Rockler in the Town Center to learn more.

No metal or smithing.  Largo has a place.

No glass working.
